Role and Responsibilities
The Program Associate is responsible for assisting the Program Director in facilitating all programs necessary to enable ECE Scholars to matriculate through higher education programs. Examples of programs include:

  • Mentor/mentee orientation
  • College enrollment orientation
  • Student-facing social events
  • Mentor training events
  • Scholarship promotion events
  • Donor engagement events
  • Board meeting support

In addition to Programming, this Program Associate is responsible for maintaining communication with enrolled scholars in order to assess ongoing support and programming needs. Ideally, this colleague will anticipate student needs and create materials to provide scholars direction and resources. Such materials may include:

  1.  Social media and website content
  2. Printed handbooks and guides
  3.  Donor campaign materials
  4. Resource directories for students
  5. Reporting for community partners and in-kind donors

This position reports to the Program Director and is a key contributor to the overall success of the organization.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a field such as marketing, human resources, or communications preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a comparable role

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with social media management and content creation
  • Experience in the Education sector preferred
  • Bilingual English and Spanish
